Uncharted Political Territory - Wow, so for the first time ever, the Democrats (who control the house of representin') dis-invited the President from delivering a state of the union address to congress. Their justification was that since the President had shut down the government, there wasn't enough time to set up security. This is flimsy, but they went with it.
So the President cancelled the lead Democrats' junket to Egypt and points west. Well, not cancel. The democrats were about to fly on military jets and the President told them that since the government was shutdown that it'd be better for them not to go off on publicity junkets and maybe work out a solution.
Cancelled the use of military planes as the democrats were on their way to the airport and go on the planes. Wow. President hits back.
So this week's post, this is how the dialog balloons used to look in the original version. Oh wow and I forgot to edit the dog's eyes, too. But yeah I think I used Times New Roman font for the dialog balloons and ... yeah, somehow it takes the fun out of it. Like, I think it was EC comics, they used a typewritten font instead of hand-drawn letters like Marvel or DC, and EC's font took some getting used to. It was like Courier New or something.
Fonts can change how the story is received, which is strange, but maybe not so strange.
I retained the original fonts I used for the captions, which was some celtic-style font, and I still think that the font works in this instance. But I have been using "Bottlerocket BB" in the web version for the dialog balloons so far (except for this page) and I think it makes the dialog look more relaxed, and fun.
Maybe I'll change the dialog balloon font again, it's not perfect.
Thanks for visiting! Seeya next week, fellers!
PS also I noticed on Google Search Console that I'm getting visits from search queries like "Grown ups daughters" and "daughters from grownups." It's weird. I guess there was a TV show or something called "Grownups"? And people are looking for pictures of the daughters from that TV show?
I don't know. But anyway, welcome. I hope you enjoy the story. I also really liked the daughter's dialog on this page, I found it comforting.
